Information For Librarians

Dear Librarians,
We recognise and value the vital role that research librarians play in the global dissemination of knowledge. At Fracture and Structural Integrity, we are committed to providing a high-quality, sustainable, and equitable publishing venue for the international scientific community.
We invite you to include our journal in your library’s electronic holdings and to share it with your researchers in engineering, materials science, physics, and mathematics.

Why partner with us?
- A champion of Diamond Open access: As a Diamond Open Access journal, we eliminate all financial barriers. There are no Article Processing Charges (APCs) for authors and no subscription fees for readers or institutions. This model ensures that research remains a public good, regardless of an institution's budget.
- Long-term digital preservation: To ensure the permanent availability of our content, we have joined the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). Your researchers can be confident that their work will remain digitally archived and accessible for the long term.
- Elite indexing and discoverability: Our journal is rigorously indexed in major global databases, including Scopus (since 2012), Web of Science (since 2015), and DOAJ. We also participate in the Initiative for Open Abstracts (I4OA) to enhance metadata visibility.
- Innovative content formats: Beyond traditional PDFs, we provide Visual Abstracts (2-minute video summaries) for every paper and browsable digital versions of all issues, making the research more engaging and accessible to a broader audience.
- Ethical and transparent standards: We strictly adhere to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines and have implemented the TITAN 2025 AI policy to ensure the highest integrity in scientific reporting.

Integration and tools for your library
- RSS feeds: You can easily integrate our latest updates into your library’s discovery systems or news aggregators using this LINK.
- Permissive licensing: All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Authors retain full copyright, and your institution is free to copy, distribute, and archive our content without prior permission.
- No embargo periods: We support immediate self-archiving (Green Open Access). Authors are permitted to deposit all versions of their work in institutional repositories at any time.

We are a community-funded initiative supported by the Italian Group of Fracture (IGF) and global crowdfunding. By listing Fracture and Structural Integrity, you are supporting a non-profit, researcher-led publishing model that prioritises science over commercial interests.
Thank you for your partnership in advancing open science. For any further information or metadata requests, please feel free to contact us.
